Our Mission

"Our vision will be accomplished by preaching, teaching, discipling, enabling, maturing and evangelizing."
"By being living examples of these truths."
Ephesians 4:11-16

There is hope and grace for everyone no matter what your background is or where you are at in life.
High Way Church has been ministering to the needs of our Maple Ridge Community and sharing the message of an abundant life for over 50 years.

We are ordinary people with an extra-ordinary desire to see the Maple Ridge Community affected in a positive way by strengthening each individual. We desire to encourage and help singles, marrieds, children, young people and seniors, through living out the "good news" of Jesus in our daily lives.

There is no hopeless situation. In Matthew 11: 28-30, Jesus said "come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." There is hope in Jesus.

Our Beliefs

We believe the entire Holy Bible to be the Word of God and to be our only rule and guide for faith and practice. Listed here are certain doctrines we hold to be of great importance. We believe in the:

Verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures.

Existence of One True God who has revealed Himself to the world as the Father, as the Son and as the Holy Spirit.

Saviour of men, the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man.

Creation, test and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness.

Gospel of the Grace of God, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day for our justification.

Salvation of sinners by Grace, through faith alone in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ on our behalf upon the cross of Calvary; excluding all human merit.

Water Baptism of believers by immersion in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with the scriptural evidence; namely, speaking in tongues.

Gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians, being exercised and practiced as manifest in the early church.

Lord's Supper, as a memorial for believers.

Healing of the body by divine power, or divine healing in many aspects as practiced by the early church.

Eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever.

Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world, and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.

Reality and personality of Satan and demons.

Reality and ministry of holy angels.

Personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church.

Sanctity of marriage, as a life long exclusive commitment between one man and one woman.

Loving God. Loving People.

Want to worship with us?

We live in the real world. We have, however, experienced the love of God and the grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. We have found Him to be the necessary foundation to our lives that causes us to overcome hurts, disappointments, loneliness, illnesses, financial stress, and the thousand and one things that make up life. Because of Jesus we have hope - and you can have it too.
